Introduction

You are welcome to December. At this time of the year, there is the natural tendency to be weighed down because of unmet targets, unfulfilled dreams and aspirations, strained hopes and seemingly unanswered prayers. However, we are to be encouraged in the Lord and look beyond these negatives to realise that God has fed us till date, He has healed us, and He has protected us, for that is why we are alive. Therefore, cast away that garment of anxiety and worries and for once say I am not careful about those unmet expectations. I will arise and Thank God

^ü    God does not change- Mt 6:27

If only we can realize who God is, we will know that nothing can change Him but He can change everything.

He owns every thing-Ps50:10

He can raise substitute-The stones will cry out

He does whatsoever He pleases-Ps 115:3

He is a great God already-Ps 145:1-3

ü  We have no Power Over Things

He only Forgives sins-Ps 103:3

He only heals sicknesses-Ps 103:3

He only has all power and authority-Mt 28:18

He gives the power to get wealth-Deut 8:18

He only knows how bones grow in the womb-Eccl 11:5

He kills and He makes alive at will- Deut 32:39

He only enthrones and dethrones kings-ISam2:6-8

Only He has unsearchable pure wisdom- Jms3:17

ü  We are Created to give thanks

ü  Thanksgiving is God’s commandment

If you must see God, you must thank God-PS 100:1-5,

Every prayer must start with thanksgiving-Col4:2

Thanksgiving guarantees that we will enter into rest someday-Ps95:1-11

ü  A grateful heart is a victorious heart

The attitude of thanksgiving brings divine attracts multitude of goods

Ingratitude beclouds the mind from seeing good-Jer 17:6

It is a demonstration of faith-Col2:7

David-

Jesus Christ-Mt 14:17

Paul and Silas-Acts 16:25-26

ü  Thank God for life

Being alive is a testimony-Ps66:16

With life, it is not a hopeless case- Eccl 9:4

Only the living can Praise the Lord-Ps 107:22-31

He has kept you this far, He cannot abandon you-Ps30:1-5

ü  He will still Bless

 It is not over yet-Hag2:4-9

You are bound to rejoice in the Lord- Jer30:17-20

You are a product of God’s mercy, His masterpiece that will become His showpiece-Lam3:21-26

God is not done with you yet-Is 41:10-14.

ü  Thanksgiving ushers in the miraculous Phil4⁶, Ps104⁴

Jesus raised Lazarus after giving thanks

Dread and fish were multiplied after thanksgiving

Conclusion-

Be careful for nothing; in everything give thanks to God for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Let every thing that has breadth praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.
