Where is Your Faith

Introduction

Text:- Lk8^22-25

God expects us to confront life with a resolute faith and to be patient since we have His word(assurance) in us. However, we embarrass Him with the kind of attitude we put up when we face certain situations of our lives to the extent that He cannot but ask us “son, daughter, where is your faith?”

Day? Ps 27 ^1-5, 2Cor 6²

Many believe in a  special day for breakthrough  whereas as Christians we are to live with Jesus everyday so that in the day of trouble we will get use to focusing on  Him rather than our troubles

For someone who has Jesus, every day is blessed for each day will bring definite encounter.- Ps118:24 …the Lord has made…..

Remember

A second without Him makes you sick

An hour without Him makes you hover

A day without Him makes you daze

A week without Him makes you weak

A month without Him makes you mount

A year without Him makes you yearn

A gap without him makes you groan and gasp
 The three Hebrew children knew God every time and on the day of trial, God stood with them.- Dan3 ^17-18

David was not moved because he set the lord before himself always.- Ps.16⁸

Moses said “if the Lord will not go up with us……….”-Exo

Jesus Was in the Boat

Even though His presence doesn’t mean we are free from storm and trials but His presence guarantees that we will not be consumed by our troubles.

Whether you build on sand or solid rock, the storm will surely come to test your building and foundation.-Lk 6^46-48

Jesus was invited to the wedding at Canaan of Galilee but the wine still finished- Jn 2^1-11

How Active Do You Keep Him.

Some of us Christians today are engaged in profitless and vain activities that have bored the Holy Spirit; while some treat Jesus (who is supposed to be the best friend) as a stranger hence, they tactically keep Him out of their lives.

Do you consider Him first in every thing?, Can He join in your every conversation?, Can He accompany you everywhere you go in a day- work, office, business?, Can he share your meal times with you?

Can He join you while in your bathroom or toilet?

The truth is He wants to be with you always and He wants to be recognized.

The word of God cannot lie

HE doesn’t sleep, He doesn’t slumber

Call on Jesus

In times of trouble who do you call?

From whom do you seek assistance?

Who do you share you deepest secrete with?- Joseph share with his brethren(enemies)- Gen37⁵

He has given You Power

You are a priest and a king of God.-Rev5¹⁰

Despite he troubled, she remained calm and in faith knowing that God is in control.

Because he feared God, God so loved him that He made him very important in everything he went through

As a child, as a slave, as a prisoner and as a prime minister.

What Pisses Him off?

Neglect-

Gossip, Malice, Hypocrisy, preoccupation with worldly cares, ……..Eph 4³¹, Col3⁸, 1Pet2¹

When we engage in all these acts, we piss Him off and to us it will be like He sleeps. When we go to wake Him up in time of storm, He cannot but ask “where is your faith” remember peace does not mean the absence of test but the presence of rest.
