ANGER- The Danger to Avoid- Part 1

Introduction:
According to Lev 19:17a, God expressly commanded thus:  “Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart”. It is also written in 1Jn 3:15 “Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him”.
Today we are going to be looking at hate or hatred from the viewpoint of its inseparable pair- anger. Since it is impossible to hate without an element of anger and vice versa.

What is anger?
Anger could be defined as a harsh emotional reaction to an observed wrong. It then follows that if anger is a reaction, there is the option to control it by not reacting or if at all by not reacting harshly because a soft word turns away wrath (Prov. 15:1 “A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.)”
Anger generates destructive heat within us.
Anger unseats reasoning.
Anger can truncate a glorious destiny.
Anger is a spirit and so we must be careful not to allow this evil rule us.
Wherever anger rules, there reign also destruction and contentions.

Anger is murder. According to scripture, the hater is a murderer so, an angry person is a murder in the sight of God- 1Jn 3:15.
Anger can make one walk away from everything ever worked for.
Anger hates peace and is a promoter of division in among peaceful circles.
Anger breaks the chain of communion.
Anger unseats the wisdom of a man.
When anyone is angry, the Spirit of God within goes down and evil spirit takes over the soul as we read in the case of Saul when he was angry against David his servant; he would throw javelin at him to kill him.
You cannot pacify an angry person when anger still rules.
Anger is like spilled boiling water; everything it touches becomes a victim.

The seed of anger is sown to truncate destinies.
Angry people lose so much and risk missing heaven.
Anger combines with those mentioned in Mk 7:22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness to defile a man.
The angry is not worthy of Zion for upon mount Zion there shall be holiness…
According to Jms. 1:20, the anger of a man is  not synonymous with the righteousness of God
Anger exposes a life to avoidable danger.
When anger is around, there is confusion and the wise ones run for cover .
The angry loses composure and peace for there is no peace for the wicked says the Lord of hosts- Isa 48:22.
The angry one is a wicked person for the devices of the heart of the angry are wicked against his victim.
You cannot understand the next move of the angry man or woman.
Some can be angry for days- this is called malice.
We must learn self control to be a able to deal with anger.
The defense of the angry is broken down.
We must learn to rule our spirit for “Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control- Prov 25:28.
We must guard our hearts with all diligence.
The situations around us today do pierce to our hearts but we must be in charge of our emotions.
To finish well and finish strong, anger must be avoided.
Moses broke all the laws (technically committed all the sins) at ones because of anger- Exo 32:19.
Saul sworn to kill his own son despite his action being against reason to everyone around- 1Sam 20:30.
The angry does inconvenient things: Simeon and Levy were angry and they dug out a wall; they eventually committed murder- Gen 49:5-7.
An angry man is a curse while a company of angry people is a disaster.. This is why Jacob said let Simeon and Levi be scattered among Israel.

Anger brings pain and anguish to souls.
Anger has medical implications: it causes bone diseases.
Anger causes blood pressure diseases.
Anger can cause depression.
The man who is angry with himself and unable to forgive eventually commits suicide.
The angry man is sick.
The angry man is a mad person.

God cannot commit treasures into the hands of the angry.
God cannot commit the responsibility of looking after His flock into the hands of a angry man.
Elisha out of anger destroyed the souls Jesus would have spared and ministered to.
The angry is impatient.
Anger is a bewitchment.
Anger is like a raging inferno; it is simply an unstoppable ball of destructive fire.
Moses lost big because of anger; he lost the rare privilege of succeeding Pharaoh when he killed an Egyptian and ran away to become a fugitive for four decades.
Anyone without self control over his temper will lose big because of anger.

With every fibre of your being, avoid anger because it is just a letter away from DANGER, do not spread the heat of hate. Spread love, share love as we strive to make the world a better place for all.
Remain blessed.
